• Someone mentioned that 'Karen' went from a common name to a whole stereotype after a few viral videos.
• Another pointed out that 'Alexa' is now hard to use without people joking about talking to a smart speaker.

    I always think of Alexa when this comes up. My mate named his daughter that right before the speakers got big and now every time he calls her people ask what the weather is like. Poor kid.

    Yeah Nimrod is a good one. My grandad used to tell me about the biblical hunter and I thought he was making it up because all I ever heard was Bugs Bunny calling someone that. Proper ruined a perfectly good name.

    Isis is the one that gets me. I knew a girl in college with that name and she just goes by Isa now because she got so tired of the looks and questions. It's mad how one group of awful people can just take a name that's been around forever and make it unusable. My beagle once barked at her name being said on the news and I can't even blame him.
