Someone shared a story about their roommates who couldn't close the front door properly, letting their dogs escape. For two years, they had to chase their dogs all over the neighborhood, sometimes finding them miles away. After countless reminders and warnings went ignored, they finally took action. They installed an industrial door closer meant for a fire door, without adjusting it. For three months, every time a roommate went out without holding the door right, it would swing back and give them a little whack. The dogs stayed safely inside after that. Have you ever had to get creative with a housemate who just wouldn't listen?

Oh man, this is genius. The unadjusted part really makes it perfect 😂 I had a similar thing with a flatmate who never replaced the toilet roll. I just started leaving the empty roll on their pillow instead of getting a new one. Took three times before they got the hint.
